HBCU SMALL BUSINESS EXPO

In 2022, we embarked on an inaugural initiative in collaboration with the SBA, SBDCs, College of Business, and the local business community to host a remarkable series of events in Jackson, Mississippi during football game week. Southern University and A & M College played Louisiana State University as well with a series of business events conducted. This included a business expo, panel discussion, pitch competition, and football game festivities during the week.

Building on the success of this Initiative, this year Baton Rouge will experience a coming together of 3 HBCUS and Louisiana State University during the weekend of September 8-9, 2023. Our aim is to collaborate with the city of Baton Rouge, universities, SBDCs, Chambers to bring awareness, resources and opportunities to small businesses, students, facility and the community. This initiative will not only bring together HBCUs it will also create platforms to build economic development and inclusion within our community.
