The EDA University Center in the College of Business at Southern University and A&M College will host its Annual Conference June 11–13, 2015. Ambassador James A. Joseph, former U.S. Ambassador to South Africa and Professor Emeritus of the Practice of Public Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University will be a keynote speaker at the Conference. Ambassador Joseph will address this year’s theme “Advancing Leadership in Economic Development” along with nationally recognized speakers: Dr. Ralph Christy; J. Thomas Clark Professor of Entrepreneurship and Professor of Marketing Management and Economic Development at Cornell University; Dr. Richard McCline, Senior Public Service Associate for Entrepreneurial Leadership Development with the Fanning Institute for Leadership Development; Dr. Huey Perry, Chancellor’s Fellow, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Southern University-Baton Rouge; and Mr. Clarence Hawkins, State Director, Rural development for Louisiana, Department of Agriculture (USDA).
