The goal of this workshop is to guide participants through completing their SAM (System for Award Management) registration or their 8(a) electronic application forms. System for Award Management (SAM) - All contractors wishing to do business with most all federal agencies are required to register in the SAM. This is done by first creating an account. The registration must then be renewed and/or updated annually. It is very important that the information entered into SAM be accurate, detailed, current and complete. The following minimum information is required to complete your SAM registration: 1. Your company D&B (Dun and Bradstreet) DUNS number. 2. Your company Tax Identification Number (TIN)/Employer Identification Number (EIN) from IRS. 3. Your banking information. All payments made by the Federal Government are now made by way of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). 4. Statistical Information about your business (Average Annual Revenues for the past three years, including all affiliates, number of employees of your firm. 8(a) Certification - The goal of this workshop is to provide guidance in the completion of the electronic 8(a) application. Participants will be walked through completion of the online electronic application forms. SBA staff will be available to answer questions regarding the application forms.
