Protecting Your IP
Your ideas, brand, creative work, and other intellectual property can be some of the most valuable assets your business owns. Understanding how to protect those assets can help entrepreneurs build a stronger foundation and confidently grow their businesses. The Small Business Development Center at Southeastern is pleased to host Protecting Your IP, an upcoming workshop presented by STartUP Northshore featuring Rebecca Saucier of Arena Collective. During this practical session, Rebecca will help entrepreneurs better understand the intellectual property behind their businesses and the steps they can take to protect it. Participants will gain insight into different types of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets, as well as how to identify the IP within their own businesses. The workshop will also explore common mistakes entrepreneurs make when protecting their intellectual property and practical strategies for safeguarding their brands, creative work, ideas, and other valuable business assets as they grow. Whether you’re launching a new business, building a brand, developing a product or service, or creating original content, understanding how to protect your intellectual property is an important part of building a successful business. Join us for Protecting Your IP on October 7, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 PM at the LSBDC at Southeastern.
