Small business will learn about three critical cybersecurity issues:

The Value of Penetration Testing

This session covers the basics of threat and vulnerability assessments, focusing on the role of penetration testing in identifying security weaknesses. Participants will learn how ethical hackers simulate attacks to find vulnerabilities before attackers do. The session provides a step-by-step overview of the pentesting process and offers tips on incorporating regular testing to strengthen security.

Phishing with Phriends

This session explores phishing attacks, their anatomy, and common variations like spear phishing and business email compromise. Participants will learn to spot phishing attempts and respond effectively. The seminar also provides strategies to reduce organizational risk through layered defenses, security culture, and employee training.

Fortifying Access: Best Practices for Secure Authentication

This session tackles the challenges of secure authentication, covering strong passwords, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and modern standards like biometrics and single sign-on (SSO). A live demo highlights how weak passwords are easily guessed. Participants will leave with practical solutions for mitigating threats, securing credentials, and adopting affordable tools like password managers and MFA.
