Identifying and securing the financing to grow your business can be challenging. A winning funding proposal will make a difference between getting a "No" and getting a "Yes"! Discover how to identify and assess the financial needs of your business, identify sources of capital and how to prepare the essential documents for a lender or investor. Step 1 – How much funding do I need? Assessing the financial needs of your business venture Step 2 – What is my financial health? Assessing your financial strengths and weaknesses. Step 3 – Where is the money? Evaluating sources of financing - banks, credit unions, CDFI’s, SBA, other non-profits, non-depository lenders, friends, partners. Step 4 – What questions does the lender ask? Developing the business summary and funding request. Step 5 – What will I need to support my request? Collecting the documents the lender requires.
