Speaker(s): Michelle Galland Revenue Tax Assistant Director Louisiana Department of Revenue Michelle Galland is the Revenue Tax Assistant Director over the Income/Franchise tax section in the Policy Services Division at LDR. The Policy Services Division is responsible for providing support and services to executive management, in-house divisions, government agencies, and the public. Division functions include development and issuance of department policies, legislative monitoring, fiscal note preparation, rule promulgation, tax research, and technical support. The Division also coordinates the implementation of tax laws, which includes developing and revising all forms as needed, preparing the Tax Exemption Budget (TEB) and Annual Report, and producing reports for the various taxes for internal and external stakeholders and for the proper allocations of dedicated taxes. Michelle has been with LDR for over 25 years. She serves as a subject matter expert for income tax and tax credits.
