Procurement Power Program Cohort

The Procurement Power Program Cohort, presented by the Institute for Human Development in partnership with Louisiana Small Business Development Center, Small Business Administration, SJB Group, Louisiana APEX Accelerators, Reimage Women Center, and LA Department of Transportation and Development, is a transformative 4-week accelerator training cohort. Limited to 10 businesses, this program empowers participants by equipping them with vital skills to effectively navigate the procurement process, recognize valuable opportunities, and arm them with tools to successfully secure contracts.

Interested businesses must complete an application process, providing relevant company information and procurement experience. A selection committee will review applications and choose the top 10 businesses based on potential and commitment to growth. Through comprehensive training, participants will develop expertise in procurement certifications, crafting capability statements, understanding RFPs and RFQs, pricing strategies, legal terms, negotiation tactics, and marketing in procurement contexts. By the program's conclusion, participants will be fully prepared to confidently submit their first response to contracts and effectively engage with stakeholders.

Registration includes an application to be completed and returned by May 31, 2023. Classes will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 7, 14, 21, and 29, 2023, from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesdays.
