ServSafe® training educates managers to understand food safety risks faced in food service operations. This course will help keep food operations, staff, and customers safe. The topics deal with food safety issues from the basics of hand washing, cross contamination, and more complex topics such as foodborne pathogens and the challenges faced in preventing illnesses. Early registration with the LSBDC is mandatory, and students must purchase the required text (with the answer sheet) online from the ServSafe (www.servsafe.com) at least three weeks prior to attending the class.
