Starting and Financing Your Business Idea - St. Helena

This workshop is highly recommended for all individuals interested in determining the feasibility of their business idea, planning to start or have recently started a small business, seeking a small business loan, or wanting to learn more about business planning. Topics of discussion will include writing a business plan, sources of funds for start-up and expansion, small business resources, and required licenses.

For those of you who will be visiting the St. Helena Parish Multipurpose Center for the first time, please note that your GPS will not accurately recognize this address. If you are traveling South on Interstate 55, exit at Amite and turn right on Hwy. 16 or if travelling North on 55, turn left after exiting. The center is approximately 5 miles West of Amite, across from Paul Davis Lumber Co. (You can GPS the lumber company’s address [144 Sawmill Road, Amite 70422] and the multipurpose center is across the highway from it.) If you are traveling on Highway 16 from the West (Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Pine Grove area) then the center will be 4.7 miles past Montpelier on the left. Again, Paul Davis Lumber Co. will be a marker.
