Negotiation is an art as much as a science. It requires a solid dose of logic and reasoning backed by the confidence to problem solve, brainstorm, and act creatively. Negotiation skills help business owners and leaders secure advantageous business deals, settle complex business transactions, resolve conflicts, improve interpersonal skills, and more. The effective negotiator doesn’t enter into negotiations seeking to destroy the other party, but to secure agreement on a middle ground perceived to be a win-win by all parties.
