Description:  Identifying and successfully hiring the right employee for your business can be frustrating and daunting. Plus, if not a successful fit for your business, a hire that does not work out can cost you time, money, and negatively impact company moral. This workshop will guide you in the process of getting of successfully planning, identifying, interviewing, and onboarding the candidate that best fits your business goals and culture.

Session 1 – Before you Hire – February 22, 2021 – 8:30am – 10:00am
 Strategic Plan –budget, type of personnel, skills, qualities, background, timeframe, pre- employment requirements, internal vs. external, and involvement of key hiring personnel for position
 Job Analysis – goals, responsibilities, and duties. Job description major and minor duties, educational requirements or experience, special certifications/training, physical requirements, travel, work environment
 Applications & Resumes – pre-screening and selection process

Session 2 – Successful Interviewing Techniques - February 24, 2021 – 8:30am – 10:00am
 Interview Preparation - Phone interview, in-person interview, structure, environment, preparation, control, summarize  Sample Interview Questions – good vs. bad  Selecting the Candidate – determining work ethic and behaviors, discuss training and learning techniques, asking situational based questions, evaluating experiences and accomplishments, what is the candidate asking in the interview

Session 3 - On-Boarding - February 26, 2021 – 8:30am – 10:00am  Pre-employment requirements – drug test, position testing, background check, license completion.
 In-Person vs Electronic – advantages and disadvantages
 Training structure – what will the new hires first day/week/month look like, introduction to staff, tour of work environment, schedule for training
 Reviews – end of first week, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, PIP
